I was born in St.Boniface, Manitoba but moved to the Ottawa Valley to Horton Township in Ontario to my Grandmother’s farm as a small child. A collie dog named Mickey was my constant companion and playmate. A calf and two orphaned lambs which had to be bottle fed also helped to fill my day. I loved to watch the horses gallop about in the fields and go with Mother to milk the cows. When we left the farm and moved into town, part of a "Special Sunday" was visiting country relatives and friends and walking throughout the woods and fields on a wonderful fall day. Growing up in this country setting gave me an appreciation for nature and a bonding with animals that I still enjoy.

About 10 years old I discovered the world of drawing. My mother would sit for a while and encourage me while I drew her profile. Our dogs, the neighborhood children and their pets were all subjects. I drew for the love of it and until the later in life had no formal training or instruction.

I began to take art more seriously in the 1980’s and studied under local area artists such as Marg Lamandeau, Stan Trouangeau and Kevin Dodds. Whenever they would offer a course or weekend workshop I would be sure to register. As a member of the Arnprior league of Artists I exhibited my work at the local shows. In 1992, I began offering reproductions of animal illustrations from my originals to Animal Lovers and Veterinarians in the form of cards and at this point my home business Pet Lines Cards was formed.

In 1996, I received a Master Art School diploma from the International School of Art .I enjoy working in many artists’ mediums, Oils, Watercolors, Pastels and Pencils. Recently I have also worked in a new glass painting medium.
